Passion tastes like raspberries on a summer afternoon

Raspberry one of my favorites fruits of all time. Delicious, soft, tender fruits with a pretty pink/reddish colour. This fruit has so many health benefits – I don’t even know where to begin. In general raspberries are very healthy to consume everyday. They contain a lot of nutrients that benefit your health.

They help you boost your energy levels and immune system, boost your memory, lose weight, reduce the risk of cancer and many more..

The raspberry is a lovely looking fruit, and on the first sight you might not know that this tiny fruit contains so much health benefits. A superfruit that just makes you glow!

Why is the raspberry healthy?

Ok, now we want to know, what this little fruit has inside of it that makes it so healthy.

Raspberry contains a lot of potassium. Potassium is found in many foods as a natural supplement and it helps to maintain normal levels of fluid inside our cells. This lowers the blood pressure and helps to aid our heart function. The little fruit contains a lot of fiber, vitamin C, B vitamins and manganese, in general this might help with anti-aging, digestive health, blood sugar and have anti-inflammatory effects.

Moving on to the good stuff of the raspberry.

What does it do for your skin and hair?

Skin

So i have talked about the vitamin C part. One cup of rasberries (123grams) contains 54% of the Vitamin C reference intake. This is honestly an amazing source to get that good vitamin in your body. Furthermore, it is very low in calories so you do not need to worry about that!

Vitamin C helps with the collagen production in your body. Collagen helps with the elasticity of your skin. As you get older, the production of this protein decreases.

The nutrients in this superfood can help brighten your skin. It exfoliate dead skin cells  and is very hydrating! This a big plus. Leaving you with that perfect glow!

For people that suffer from a lot of redness and itchy skin. The raspberry might reduce this as it is anti-inflammatory. I noticed a big difference with my own skin whenever I ate one serving of raspberries a day.

Hair

Do these berries help hair growth?

Raspberries may definitely help with hair growth. Due to the vitamin C content and anti-oxidants it aids the scalp and hair being healthy. It nourish the hair from within the hair follicles.

There are also diverse raspberry leaf tea oils you can use for hair growth. It is rich in biotin and folate – which eventually helps the formation of healthy red blood cells, delivering oxygen to hair follicles.

You can use it as a rinse for your hair or enjoy the tea, drinking it.

Not only are they good for your health but you can make delicious dangerously treats, which I will explain in my next post!

So stay tuned!
